The weights adjust in 1 kg increments from 2 kgs to 10 kgs, small increments that are perfect for those just beginning a strength-training program. Once reaching 10 kgs, the weights increase 2 kgs at a time until each handle reaches 20 kgs and then finally reaching 21 kgs, larger increments that are great for more seasoned weight trainers. The large weight range makes it an adaptable piece of equipment, so anyone can adjust it to their preference and fitness level.
The SelectTech combines a sleek look locking mechanism that allows the user to securely change the weight on the handle. The mechanism only works while the handle is inserted into the base, eliminating the chance of accidents with dropped plates. Covered with a unique injection-moulded plastic, the plates won't clank and clatter when they are set down. The cover also keeps weights from scratching floors or other surfaces they might touch. And no matter how sweaty the workout gets the covering protects the weights from corrosive rust.
